Show B4 The Show @ Southwest Corps Connection

Show B4 The Show will be at the 2nd and Final Southwest Corps Connection in Arizona. I will also be trying to stop by as many housing sites before the show tomorrow.

Listed below is the Housing sites for all of the corps.

Academy at Dobson HS
Pacific Crest at Peoria HS
SCV Cadets at Campo Verde HS
Cascades at Coyote Hills MS
Mandarins at Willow Canyon HS
Impulse at Red Mountain HS

Mostlikely I will be stopping to see Cascades, PC, Mandarins, Possibly SCVC Depending on Time and then Academy if they are rehearsing when I get to the show site.

As always I will be getting lot footage from tomorrow. Make sure you follow SB4TS on Twitter if you aren't already, since I will be tweeting about the lots and any shows I see.

Were playing Ritual, composed by Aaron Guidry (the guy who composes for the Crossmen)!! It's like mostly percussion based and is suppose to give the feeling of a pre-war tribal dance...sorta.

Were one of the more poor High Schools so our drums are old Yamahas and Remo heads. Weve had the same drums for about 5 years so each year it has been 3 snares, 2 tenors (not full size), and 5 basses.

My line this year is looking to be 3 snares, 2 tenors, and 5 basses, all pearl drums, although quite old and beat up, and they definitely need all new heads.

I'm totally new to this site but not new to percussion, check out dojo percussion I was with them this past season and we melted faces and had babies throne at us wen we won, dojo has only been around for 2 years so far. Peace (DesolatedDoom is not associated with BanishedBeyond yet)

5 Snares, 2 Tenors, 5 Basses, 10 in Front ensemble. We use Yamaha drums and adams from ensemble equipment. We use Innovative Percussion, Remo, Randall May stadium stands and tubular harnesses.

We're playing "Nosferatu a symphony of terror." It is based off of Aaron Coplands Grohg. We are having it written originally, our writer is making it sound very similar to Star of Indiana 1993.

The Academy Memorial Day Concert

Show B4 The Show was out at the 2010 Academy Memorial Day Concert! We got some audio and video of the performing that took place. All of this audio will be exclusively to Show B4 The Show Members. If you want to be able to download the audio and video that will be posted all you have to do is become a registered user here on the website.

SB4TS is doing this, because there isn't too much other stuff out there right now for the 2010 Drum Corps Season, especially for The Academy DBC. So those who are members will get the first access to this brand new 2010 Media!

Check it out the media and leave your comments in the forums about what YOU think about the 2010 Academy DBC!

Their both completely different in my opinion. Finale is point and click, while Sibelius requires you to learn a lot of short cuts. However, if you learn them, which their not hard, it's more simple than finale. At least I find.

The are crappy and over priced! Pearl is a solid drum Co. but im sure BD will just crank them all the way and make them sound bad like they always do. Listen to Phantom 07. Thats what a line should sound like.
